Asteroids & Mines

Asteroids are common throughout the galaxy. They may safely be ignored since a collision will only result in very minor damage to a SpaceGuard ship or shuttle.

Mines are also to be found throughout the galaxy. It is a bit of a mystery where they came from. Most assume that they were launched by Dendax, Ventrogh or Krokalia but this seems unlikely as they damage their ships just as much as SpaceGuard ships. An ordinary mine may cause some damage and are best avoided but pose no real threat.

Shuriken mines are more technologically advanced and dangerous. They have sensors to detect the presence of ships and shuriken warheads (multiple self-propelled guided warheads) that mean they can cause damage even from a distance. They are usually easy to avoid though and it is best to do so.
